Debbie began teaching herself how to wire wrap in 2015. Initially she was using silver plated and copper wire but more recently she has started using Argentium® silver.
Debbie looks closely at the semi-precious stone or tumbled sea glass she wants to wire wrap and tries to create a design to show off its best qualities. All sea glass is collected by hand from her local beaches on Exmoor then tumbled on site in her studio.
Argentium® silver is much harder than sterling silver and thus is less likely to scratch or mark. The bright white colour of the silver is far better too and is very tarnish resistant. Argentium® silver is hypoallergenic and even people who are unable to wear sterling silver can often wear this. All Argentium® silver is ethically sourced.
The Argentium® silver jewellery is currently hallmarked where required as 925 with the Argentium® Silver Pegasus logo however talks are in progress to have the 935 or 960 stamps as a recognised hallmark.
Debbie is a licensed user of Argentium® Silver and a member of the Argentium® Silver Guild.
