Jo first came to live on Exmoor 40 years ago.
After studies in art and porcelain restoration and a keen interest in photography, Jo worked as a designer and travelled extensively before returning to settle, with her husband and son, to her beloved Exmoor.
Jo’s studio, gallery and home are now high up on the moor, commanding glorious views across the Barle Valley, with all the inspiration an artist could need at her finger tips.
Here Jo continues to explore her passion for the wild Exmoor landscape, in particular her fascination with beech hedges, which to some extent has become a trademark of her work.
Jo is exploring with her use of ink and watercolour, as seen in these pictures, but she also works with mixed media, charcoal, pastel and oil, to express the ever changing and invigorating landscape she loves so much.
