Mel at Mole’s Art lives in Beautiful North Devon, not far from the Exmoor National Park. She is mainly known for her oil portraits of dogs on canvas, however a lover of wildlife the red deer stag is often found on her easel.
Mel spends many hours watching and photographing her subjects in order to know them. This time is spent well as the character of the subject in a completed painting stands out at you from the frame.
Inspired by many great artists like the late David Shepherd, the late Rien Poortvilet, Robert Bateman, Robert Harris-Ching and fantasy artists such as Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell, Mel continues to learn and grow as an artist.
